Welcome to the Grid / Cloud Computing Section of the HAL3000 Developer's Web Site |
Grid computing is the simultaneous use of multiple computers to a single problem. Grid computing depends on software to distribute and schedule parts of a program among many computers. Grid computing is distributed and large-scale cluster computing, and also a form of network-distributed parallel processing. It can confined to a local network of computer workstations or it can be a large, public collaboration across many networks.
